SunScreen

There is growing evidence to suggest that the skin cancer epidemic is an exploited pharmaceutical myth. I know that sounds unbelievable but finally we’re starting to see published articles questioning the validity of the 30 year old slip, slop, slap campaign. Why? Because the incidence of skin cancer is rising, NOT declining. So now finally, one of modern medicine’s most fundamental beliefs is rightfully being challenged: the belief that people who expose themselves to sunlight, need to coat themselves with sunscreen to protect themselves from the “harmful” UV rays of the sun. What if doing that, actually contributes to far more medical treatments and cancers than it prevents? And what if sunlight provides vital nutrients that human beings have thrived on since the beginning of time. What if the problem is not sunshine at all? Have a very Merry Christmas and keep safe,
Don.

Organic Produce

When it comes to organic vs non-organic produce, don't make it complex!
Even if it were true that conventional produce had a consistently lower nutrient level (it typically doesn't) an organic diet is not necessary for good nutrition. You'll usually pay twice as much for organic produce which doesn't equal twice the benefit.
I believe that the best thing you can do is either grow your own food or buy from local growers (organic if possible) within a 100 mile (160km) radius from where you live. That way you'll be getting the freshest, most nutrient dense, raw, in season foods on the planet. Not something that is grown and picked before it was ripe, possible put into cold storage and then shipped a thousand miles to get to you.
Until next week, enjoy!

Honey

For centuries honey has been used as medicine. All types of honey, both raw and heated, work naturally to harmonise the liver, neutralise toxins and relieve pain. Honey can also be useful for treating stomach ulcers, cancer sores, high blood pressure and can be applied directly to burns. Raw, completely unprocessed, unheated honey is preferable; it has the ability to dry up mucus and is helpful for those with edema and too much weight. Raw honey is NOT recommended for infants under 12 months.

Raw Milk

Raw Milk is Good but Cultured Raw Milk is Best!
Many people who cannot drink pasteurized milk, can drink raw milk.
Cultured ("fermented") milk products include yogurt, kefir and curd. The fat, sugar and protein have been partially broken down making them digestible for practically everyone.
Did you know that yogurt contains billions of life, friendly bacteria?
These bacteria not only predigest the fat, sugar and protein, they also 'crowed out' lethal bacteria in the gut.
Perhaps even more important, these micro-organisms manufacture their own neutralizers and inhibitors to destroy disease causing germs.
There are good reasons why yogurt, kefir and curd prolong life. They protect against hardening of the arteries and there is a potent cancer remissive effect.

Vaccines

The rate of autism has escalated from as low as 1 in 10,000 people not so long ago, to as high as 1 in 150 people today. It could be said that we are heading towards an autism epidemic, and rightly so, given these statistics. Many vaccines contain Thimerosal, a preservative which enables vaccine manufacturers to produce enormous volumes of vaccines. Thimerosal has been linked to causing mercury induced autism in children shortly after receiving vaccines containing this preservative. Before you get your next shot (or you allow your children to be immunized or vaccinated) take the time to do a little homework. The internet can be great for things like this. You might just be surprised and shocked by what you’ll find out.
